KBV Communications Policy - Sept 2009
The following COMMUNICATION POLICY relates to KBV Committee Members and
KBV-related information.

KBV maintains a policy of clear, unambiguous and open communication - this
will be effected by one or more of the following: emails to members,
documentation in the form of minutes or file notes saved to the publicly
accessible KBV archives, publication on the KBV web site.
- Exception: Any KBV matters "under discussion" - i.e. that have been tabled for
consideration, are under consideration, are pending resolution, or are
awaiting committee clearance as finalised may not be discussed outside of the
committee without express approval from two of the following: President, Vice
President, Secretary.

Any written communication on behalf of the KBV Committee must be copied to
the Committee. Any verbal communication on behalf of the KBV Committee must be
documented and forwarded to the Committee as soon as is practical.

Exception: Operation matters (i.e. business-as-usual matters such as Member
Renewals, Next Meeting Reminders, Agenda Notifications etc) are exempt from
this provision.

Public Forums (like Seabreeze, NZKiting, etc) other kiting web sites, BLOGS
and similar forums of public discussion may be used by the KBV Committee for
**dissemination** of information as required but may not be used by KBV for
**discussion** of KBV matters under consideration.

Exception: KBV material that has been made publicly available by any of the
methods described in (1) above as well as general Kiting and non-KBV matters
are exempt from this provision.
- No Committee Member or KBV Member may represent any unpublished opinion of
KBV, or discuss KBV "matters under consideration" of KBV in any forum without
without express approval from two of the following: President, Vice President,
Secretary. Any other expressed opinion in any forum or discussion must be
noted as personal opinion and not represent that that of KBV. This applies also to announcements of KBV events, KBV sanctioned events, or events run on behalf of KBV.

Any third-party announcement in which KBV events, KBV sanctioned events, or events run on behalf of KBV and/or KBV is mentioned must be submitted to KBV and have received written approval before being made.
